Information About our Chapter
The MOMS Club is an international non-profit organization offering support to all types of mamas! Our club provides a way to meet other mothers and their children, and enjoy many fun activities. You may preview one activity, excluding playgroups due to liability reasons, and one Monthly Meeting before deciding to join the MOMS Club.
Playgroups
Playgroups meet once per week and the group can decide to meet in homes, parks, or any mutually agreed on place. They are set-up according to your child/children’s age. If you have more than one child, you may be interested in joining a sibling playgroup.
Park/Pool Days
Several times a month we have Park Days where we all meet at a park and let the kids play for a couple of hours while we get to talk. In the summer time we may meet at a local pool instead for some fun in the sun!
Activity Groups
The MOMS Club sponsors activity groups for members with common interests. These change, as members’ interests change and we welcome new ideas! If you’ve got an idea that you don’t see represented here, let someone know or better yet, take the lead and get it started. That’s how some of our groups came to be. Right now we have book club, cooking with kids, MOM craft, family night, and stroller walks.
Secret Sisters
This is a fun thing for the MOMS only (and is completely optional!) During each exchange period, you try to brighten your secret sister’s day by doing a couple thoughtful things! After the specified amount of time, we have a Revealing Party where you inform your sister of your identity.
Helping Hands
This is our big support group. When any MOM in our chapter needs support from having a new baby, an illness or surgery, a sick spouse, etc., Helping Hands jumps in to give support in the way of dinners, childcare, whatever needed. Remember, not everyone has family/friends in the area to help them. When support is needed for a fellow Mom, the coordinator will send out an e-mail asking for volunteers to help out.
Holiday Parties
We like to celebrate! Our MOMS club loves to have Halloween parades, egg hunts, BBQs, back to school bashes, and more!
Monthly Meetings
Once a month we all get together to go over club business, vote on important issues, and any other topics the members are interested in. We sometimes invite interesting speakers to come and talk to us.
Service Projects
Our group participates in several service projects throughout the year to help needy children and others in our community. In the past these
have included the Teddy Bear Picnic, Adopt a Family for the holidays, and our Annual BUNCO Night.
MOMS Night Out
One night a month we meet without the kids for a chance to be adults! Past activities have included movie nights, painting parties, game night and dinner at a restaurant. This is an excellent way for the MOMS to get to know each other without a toddler hanging on your leg. :)
Dues/Costs
Our dues are $25 a year and pay for room rentals, newsletters, postage, supplies and program deposits.
